Applied Research & Development
Research That Ships, Not Research for Its Own Sake
Our research is applied: it exists to solve a specific engineering problem inside a product, not to produce a paper. Candilate's real-time scoring against ATS constraints and its profile-inference approach are the kind of problem this work solves — figuring out how to generate long-form text reliably under hard constraints, then building a way to check the output actually meets them. We take on the same kind of applied R&D for clients: prototyping an approach before committing to it, evaluating whether a technique — an algorithm, a model, an architecture — actually works for a specific problem, and building the harness that measures it.
Key Features
- Prototyping and feasibility work before committing to a full build
- Evaluation of algorithms, models or architectures against a specific problem
- Building evaluation and scoring harnesses that measure whether a system meets its requirements
- Applied problem-solving that feeds directly into a shipped feature or product
Benefits
- You find out whether an approach works before paying to build the whole thing
- Decisions backed by a measured evaluation, not a demo that happened to work once
- Research output that lands in a product, not a report that sits on a shelf
Use Cases
- Feasibility and prototyping work ahead of a larger build
- Evaluating and comparing algorithms or models for a specific problem
- Building the evaluation harness for an AI or data system
