Your choices

Cookie Notice

We keep browser storage small and explain it here so you can choose whether to use optional features.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

What this covers

Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with later requests. Similar browser storage can remember a choice without a login. Hosting or security services may set cookies needed to deliver or protect the website.

Article likes

The first time you select Like, we ask whether to allow a first-party cookie containing a random browser identifier for up to one year. You can choose No thanks and keep reading. If you allow it, the cookie lets us recognize that browser for article reactions. The identifier is not used for advertising. If you clear browser cookies, we cannot link a later reaction to the earlier browser choice.

External services

Contact form buttons take you to Typeform. Map and social links take you to other websites when you select them. Those services may use their own cookies under their own notices. We do not load an embedded map before you select a map link.

Control and withdrawal

To remove your likes and the cookie together, use the button below before clearing your browser data. Clearing the cookie alone disconnects your browser from its previous reactions and does not subtract existing likes from public counts. You can also turn off cookies in your browser, though some security features may be affected.

This removes every article like linked to this browser and deletes its reaction cookie.
