Your information
Privacy Notice
This notice explains the information we receive when you visit our website, contact us, or interact with an article.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Who is responsible
Yconsoft Technologies (RC 1927074) is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@yconsoft.com or at our Lagos office: 13, off Bada Street, Alimosho, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria.
What we receive and why
- Enquiries: If you email, call, or submit our external contact form, we receive the details you provide so we can respond, discuss your request, and keep a record of the conversation. We do this at your request, including steps toward a possible contract.
- Website delivery and security: Our hosting provider processes request and technical information, which can include an IP address, browser details, requested pages, and error or security logs, to deliver and protect the site. Our legitimate interest is to keep the site available and secure.
- Article reactions: If you choose to like an article, we use a random browser identifier to remember your choice and maintain the article count. It is not an account and is not intended to identify you by name. Clicking Like is your choice to use this optional feature. You can withdraw it through our Cookie Notice.
- Editors: Authorized editors sign in through Keystatic Cloud, which connects article changes to GitHub. The editor provider and GitHub process account and activity information needed for access and version history.
Other services and links
The website is hosted by Vercel. Our enquiry buttons open a form on Typeform, where information you submit is processed under that service's terms and privacy notice as well as our use of the response. Map links open Google Maps only if you choose them. Social links open the respective platform. Article reactions are stored with Turso. The editor uses Keystatic Cloud and GitHub. These providers may process information outside Nigeria. Contact us for details about a particular transfer.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry records while we are handling the enquiry and afterward where follow-up, a dispute, or a legal obligation requires it. Hosting and security logs follow our provider's retention settings. A reaction remains until you remove it or we remove the article or reaction data. Use the control in our Cookie Notice to remove all likes linked to your browser. You can also ask us to erase information where the law gives you that right.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact hello@yconsoft.com with your request. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns you. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the new date on this page.
